Three short guides that walk you through the most-used WePDF tools. Each flow takes under a minute and runs entirely in your browser: no signup, no upload limits.

How to compress a PDF

Reduce the file size of a PDF while keeping the quality readable.

  1. Open Compress PDF. Go to the Compress PDF tool from the WePDF home page or the tools menu.
  2. Drop your PDF. Drag your PDF onto the upload area, or click 'Select file' and pick one from your device.
  3. Choose a compression level. Pick low, medium, or high compression. Medium is a good default for email attachments.
  4. Download the compressed PDF. Click Compress. When it's ready, click Download: the smaller file is yours to use anywhere.

How to merge PDFs

Combine multiple PDFs into a single document.

  1. Open Merge PDF. Go to the Merge PDF tool from the WePDF home page or the tools menu.
  2. Add your files. Drop two or more PDFs onto the upload area. Drag thumbnails to reorder them: the order in the list is the order in the merged PDF.
  3. Download the merged PDF. Click Merge. Your combined PDF appears as a single download.

How to sign a PDF

Add an electronic signature to a PDF document.

  1. Open Sign PDF. Go to the Sign PDF tool from the WePDF home page or the tools menu.
  2. Upload the PDF to sign. Drop the document you need to sign into the upload area.
  3. Create your signature. Draw your signature with mouse or touch, type it in a stylised font, or upload a signature image you've prepared.
  4. Place the signature. Click the page where the signature should appear. Drag the signature box to position it and resize as needed.
  5. Download the signed PDF. Click Apply, then Download. The signed PDF is saved to your device: the signature is embedded in the file.
